Thematic Hiking Trails



In the early 14th century, this path was used by poor people who walked once a week to La Part-Dieu to eat a plate of soup after Mass.
 

This new path will appeal to nature lovers and those interested in fantasy. They will go through the place called "Les Aunes" on a 4.5 km circuit. Start at Les Colombettes restaurant, in Vuadens. Good walking shoes indispensable.
 

Linking the summit of Vounetz to Charmey are two didactic itineraries.
 

Charmey and its neighbouring villages have got an amazing network of valleys and chapels, the latter built between the 16th and 20th centuries. Three itineraries give you the chance to explore them all in the course of your walk.
 

Thematic trail.
More than twenty illustrated gruyerian legends are to be read between pastures, lake, the Sionge and forests. Region's views and historics
 

The trail shows a choice of 14 houses or buildings in the village. These constructions are made in different styles from the farmer architecture from XVIth to XXth century.
 

Here you can breathe in the pure air of our mountains and forests. Explore Gruyère's green pastures, its herds of cattle and when you are between Pringy and Moléson- Village, stop to admire the traditional alpine chalets, with their shingle roofs.
 

From Estavannens to Montbovon, exploration of nature in the Gruyère region through explanatory panels. 65 species of trees, traditional villages.
 

From Gruyères to Montbovon (16.5 km) discover the left side of la Sarine with its seven villages that will tell their legends and show their old houses and chapels. You can curtail your walk at any time by stopping at any of the village stations.
 

This walk goes along the Jogne river from Im Fang to Charmey on 3km in a magnificent landscape.
 

At the foot of the Gastlosen range is a didactic path on which, with the help of 12 observation posts, you can learn all about the geological treasures of this site, one of national importance.
 

Set off to explore the chateaux, farms and chapels of this area, as well as the archaeological site of the Temple of Mars (Roman ruins, well, tombs).
 

Explore Humilimont Park with its atypical centuries-old trees, as well as the deer park and children's playground.
 

A 4-km trail set with 8 instructive panels illustrating the protective role of forests in mountain areas. Set off at the base of the Moléson-sur-Gruyères lift.
 

From Plan-Francey to Gros-Moléson (Moléson East slope), From Spring to Autumn, informative signs enable walkers to identify 150 Alpine plants.
 

9km from Montbovon - les Allières to the Col de Jaman, discover the historic bridge "Pontet", built in 1661 and the old commercial road between la Gruyère and the Geneva lake.
 

30 different nesting boxes, 42 children's tales and fables, 12 butterflies representing the 12 months of the year. Picnic and barbecue facilities. Start behind the Sorens camp site.
 

From Sorens or from Avry to the Gibloux-Tower. Platform reachable by a spiral staircase. Panoramic view and georama: adventure of the earth and life.
