Hiking

The famous summit of the Moléson, towering over medieval town of Gruyères, gathers within itself all the pleasures to be had in the mountains.

This attractive, easy circular walk is ideal for families. When you’re at the foot of the Gruyères hill, you have splendid views across to the Moléson, the Dent de Broc and the Vanils mountain range.

From Bulle Castle to that of Gruyères, via the Maison du Gruyère.

Discover the regional route n°81, the “Fribourg en diagonale”. We Follow the tracks of the GFM, the former Fribourg Railway Company, from the pre-Alpine region of the Greyerzerland to the Drei-Seen-Land (Three-lakes region) and through the town of Fribourg, whilst discovering the three principle tourist towns of the canton: Gruyères, Fribourg and Murten.

National route n°3 of SwitzerlandMobility. Admire the Fribourg Prealps, the natural paradise of Schwarzsee, the little, picturesque town of Gruyères with its beautiful castle and culinary highlights and the holiday resorts Moléson and Les Paccots.

Here you can breathe in the pure air of our mountains and forests. Explore Gruyère's green pastures, its herds of cattle and when you are between Pringy and Moléson- Village, stop to admire the traditional alpine chalets, with their shingle roofs.

From Gruyères to Montbovon (16.5 km) discover the left side of la Sarine with its seven villages that will tell their legends and show their old houses and chapels. You can curtail your walk at any time by stopping at any of the village stations.

The Chemin du Gruyère is full of surprises: the wild, romantic Lac de Montsalvens, the spectacular Jaun-Schlucht (gorge) and the famous Gruyères Castle.
