The Pre-Alps without Borders projects proposes a new tourist activity for the Vaud and Fribourg Alpine pasture region; a bilingual concept between (French/German), organised, promoted and followed up, in the form of a network linking some twenty Alpine chalets between the lake of Geneva (The Swiss Riviera), the Black Lake (Lac Noir Schwarzsee, Fribourg) and the Lake of Thun (Canton Bern), allowing the visitor to move from one to another in search of authenticity while benefiting from special advantages (the PawB label).
This project contributes to maintaining the Alpine heritage by a calm and coherent development of the high pastures'tourist resources. It recognises pastoral activity as the primary activity, the contribution of tourism being a welcome addition.
