Almost all regions are rich in legends, but unfortunately they have often been lost. In La Gruyere, between 1850 and 1950, certain scholars (Mario Alexandre Bovet, l'Abbé Genoud, Clément Fontaine,....) had the good sense to write them down - a real treasure trove for the storyteller that I am.
When recounting these tales, that I have been driven to learn by heart, I try to give them the original truculence associated with telling, not reading, a story.
