Ausser Mittelberg lies 1770m above sea level in a hollow below Oberberg and Galm. The site ranges from 1640m to 1900m in altitude and covers about 64ha.
The Mani-Helfer family offers board and lodging for groups on request. IG Kiley-Alps to which Ausser Mittelberg has belonged since 2004, is the name of a cooperative run by a number of farmers form the Diemtigtal. The Kiley organic cheese dairy produces organic cheese and other products.
